My handheld scanner got stolen out of my truck a couple of years ago. (The doors were locked.) It was a Radio Shack Pro-79, I think, and it worked very well for picking up local railroad transmissions. Radio Shack no longer makes that model. Does anyone have a recommendation for a handheld scanner with similar features and good reception, preferably at an affordable price? I've been looking at the Uniden BC72XLT, which sells for around $75-$100, but it gets mixed reviews, and I really can't afford to spend more than that.
