What's your method of fading paint and lettering on Walther's freight cars?

Try this link. www.mrhobby.com The procedure is reversible. Does not work well on black colors. Scroll down to "fading freight cars".

That technique works well - I generally apply the alcohol with my airbrush for a more subtle effect. If I want to fade the lettering only, I airbrush a thin wash of the carbody colour over the whole car.
