I like this.... those were two designs I used to test paint schems for my freelanced home road.... now I can make them a reality.

That's great news, but one of the larger buyers of U30B's, NYC isn't even a first run, even though they only had ten Phase 1's :( :( :( :(

Now see, I always thought RS-27 was to C-424 and RS-11 was to RS-36 in the same way that GP9 was to GP18 or U25C was to U28C.... an evolutionary change. That is, the RS-36 was closer to a lo nose RS-11 and an RS-27 was an early version of a C-424.

Oh well. Maybe its cousin, the RS-36 is not far behind?

Well....maybe they are a little...."odd" looking....but what the heck , I like 'em, probably because they are odd looking . Gimme a couple of PC Black ones, and I'll be happy.
Funny, though, the pic for the Conrail one isn't a blue unit....its a stenciled out PC unit, and I think thats actually how they intend to release it. That'd be different. Be curious to see if it actually sells that way...

The scale plastic market is very good... over the last five to ten years we have seen some real good/interesting/unique units come out. I'm sure our favorite whatevers will be out in the next couple of years too!
