Welcome to the Employment Forum at RAILROAD.NET! This forum is meant for the discussion of issues related to working for the railroads, past and present.

A few ground rules:

- Keep it on topic- railroad employment.

- No flaming, personal attacks, advertisements, or spam.

- Please do not ask about job openings here. You can find job postings in our Job Postings Forum, or you can contact the railroad you are interested in working for directly. You will not find any job offers on this forum. Questions regarding available jobs will be locked at the moderator or site administrator's discretion. Many questions ask if a particular railroad is hiring or how to get a job on a particular railroad... you simply have to contact that railroad and ask them. You can try to get the job by filling out an application. The railroad will tell you about any special training that you will need. If you're asking about specific jobs, try contacting the railroad first.

- Questions about salaries and benefits are best directed to the Human Resources department of the railroad you are interested in working for. Any salary figures posted here are not guarantees and may not be equivilent for everyone. Salary is determined by each company and its collective bargaining agreement.

Any questions about this forum or site policy, please contact one of the Site Administrators.
