What is Salem county transit and why is it gettin anothier 1 million for trackwork? Is it a new name for SRNJ, Hasent SNJR been given enough money in the past for repairs? Do they use thet bridge yet with STATE money that could have gone to better things?

Salem County owns the railroad. SRNJ was appointed to operate it. A couple years ago the operation was conveyed to US Rail. They lost most of the customers and pretty much stopped operating. SRNJ is once again operating the railroad and bringing back lost customers. The grant money does not go to SRNJ.

NS 39G had six locos Thursday. Dash-9W's second and third. Then three Pavonia engines presumably going out for their 92-day: GP38-2's ex SOU 5242 and ex-PC 5286 and 5287.
CSAO WPCA20, which had used 5286 and 5287 recently, had 5277and 5311, also former Penn Central engines.

NS 39G had six engines again, going out as CSAO FC15 with 84 cars. The last three engines came in on a 64D crude oil train a couple weeks ago.

The Reading heritage unit, NS 1067, was on last night's NS 506 and should still be in Carneys Point this morning. No word on its' return north.

Ten miles north, SMS Rail Services' Baldwin DS44-1000 PRR 1069 crossed Pedricktown Road on its way to pick up the cars set off earlier by Conrail WPCA11.

The Reading heritage unit, NS 1067, was on last night's NS 506 and should still be in Carneys Point this morning. No word on its' return north.

39G had five engines Tuesday, led by SD70M-2 2671; the fourth was SW1001 2100, built in 1973 as Reading 2625.

NS 64D (Bakken crude) came in Wednesday morning with one NS and three BNSF units, photographed at Pavonia after delivering oil to Sunoco Logistics in Westville.

Thursday afternoon Conrail's YPCA05 crew brought one spacer car and eighty empty tank cars from Sunoco in Westville to Pavonia using the power that brought in the crude as NS 64D.

WPCA20 came through CP HATCH and met SP18 at Cove Road.
