If train service had continued, the railroad would have taken care of those "gaps" in the ROW.

The latest "South Jersey Trains" video is out for the Winter of 2019. Lots of local action including some heavy WPCA51 moves, SMS Railroad, and CSX freights in Philadelphia.

On Friday night, Conrail engineer Richie Vogt took MI-61 out of Millville for his final run before retiring after 41 years of service.
The train had NS 5310 leading north with his 'Last Run' sign on it and NS 3044 trailing.

NS 39G had well over 140 cars on Wednesday. The cars beyond car 140 were not positioned for being counted from my vantage points.
Cars 43 and 44 were Conrail steel coil cars.

CSX sued Hainesport Industrial Railroad LLC for shipping overloaded cars that derailed on CSX in Philly. Fair use from Trains News Wire (available to Trains Magazine subscribers):
According to court documents, CSX took delivery of railcars from Hainesport Industrial Railroad in October 2017 which were loaded with construction and debris material, and the cars derailed at milepost BFF 0.5 in Philadelphia. The first derailment took place on or about Oct. 7, 2017, court document say, and the second derailment occurred Oct. 18. CSX claims in the lawsuit that the cars were overloaded and caused the derailments.
