MPI has rebuilt a few GP50s with a 2,000hp Caterpillar engine, but could the same be done with batteries or three separate motors?
The dynamic brakes appear to still work since the grid is not plated over and the fan is still in place. I am guessing that dynamic brakes may not work with a Green Goat, but would they work with a NRE Genset?
Is their any feasibility in making a 6-axle Green Goat or NRE Genset?
Probably not for the Green Goat, but maybe for the Gensets; would there be any market for a road-switcher oriented model?

I think one of the builders -- can't remember whether it was NRE, RP, or MPI -- said they were working on a six-axle "green" locomotive. I also don't remember whether it was going to be a genset type or a battery hybrid. RP has had plans for a full size road unit for a while now, but I think they're still just plans. It was supposed to run on compressed natural gas or something.
