Mr. Morris--

While answering an inquiry from RRNET memberbyte regarding traction excursion operator Maurice Klebolt (dba Illini Railroad Club), I found this interesting material after a little giggling.

Of interest, the Illini railroad Club is today a recognized U of I/UC student activity; "not exactly" the case during my day (1961-1970 with a little "time out' to play Cowboys and Indians over in 'Nam)

Mr. Norman,

Thanks for digging up the info on Maury Klebolt.

My memories of him were the excellent "last days" trips he organized on the ITRR in the 1950s. I rode several times in 233/234 on trips, and even visited him in those cars when they were parked on N. Neil St on the siding, when I was at U of I in 1960-61.

I did not know of his involvement in San Fran.

Thanks again,

Carter Morris
