Electroliner 5 cart unit ?

Post by LuvmyElectroliner » Wed Apr 03, 2019 12:13 pm

Hello, I was wondering if the Electroliner ever ran with 5 cars ?

I have seen a multitude of photos of the Electroliner - but all 4 car units.

I have the Concor model of the Electroliner, and I see Concor made a "add-on" car.

Just wondering if the 4 car unit was the standard or only config for this unit.

Of all my collection, I think the Electroliner makes me smile the most - way cool unit.

The add-on is fictional.

The Electroliner was articulated... in real life you coudn't just add another coach without taking it into the shop, lifting it up on jacks, and doing a lot of repositioning to get a fifth car inserted.

There were only two 4 car sets of Electroliners built in 1941. Fleet numbers ‎801–802, 803–804
