Stevensville, Montana

I was in Stevenville two days ago and noticed what appeared to be an old main line line that began in Missoula and went to Stevi. The little I could find about the line is that it seemed it was opened and operated by Montana Rail Link but the line looked pretty unused. It also looked like there was about 2-3 miles worth of beat up looking cars stored there. Can anyone give me some information about this line?
