Oh that platform. I thought maybe "platform" might have meant the actual platforms where passengers got off the trains, which would be much closer to the main line. I wonder how many trains a day pass along the two tracks adjacent to the Terminal that can clearly be seen in the photos. Can...

I would definitely use it. Sounds like a great idea to me! (What does CSX think of this plan?)

Sounds like the type of popup that appears on a gazillion other sites. It ought to be common sense by now never to click a popup, no matter what it says. Get a good antivirus/internet security program and you'll never see them again. It ought to be common sense ... but it is not. The reason these t...

UPDATE

If you type Casalemedia into Google, you will find lots of entries about spyware being installed onto your computer, and discussions about how to remove it.

Do not click on the Next button if you get the pop-up at RailPictures.Net.

Caveat Emptor.

RailPictures.net greeted me with a nasty pop-up window today. You can see the window here , it warns you that you many have critical errors on your computer, and that you should click to have your computer scanned. DO NOT CLICK “Next” ON THIS POPUP WINDOW . Note the link location at the bottom of th...

According to the book about the Naples LV rail trail, "Don't let the fact that this is an old rail bed fool you into thinking its an easy ride." Also, "Most of the rail bed is a raised platform through a wetland. But because it passes through wetlands, it may be impassable during the ...

I recently picked up a copy of the book "Take Your Bike: Family Rides in the Rochester Area" by Rich & Sue Freeman, published by Footprint Press . Much to my surprise, many of the Lehigh Valley Railroad right-of-ways have been converted into bike or hiking trails. Now, I knew about the...

By the way, all of you NY State Railfans should check out the tours linked on Scot's pages. They are all excellent, and some of them seem to involve walking on public property in case you want to take the tour in person. In particular, I can't wait to go see that abandoned roundtable near Genesee Ju...

Scot recommended I put all these photos and descriptions in a separate webpage. So now I have done just that, please visit the webpage devoted to what I am now calling the Spring Creek Trestle.

Any corrections or comments gratefully accepted.

What are the locations of those 6 bridges still left that are west of P&L Junction?

On B&H numbers 4 and 5, does the script writing on the cab say "The Champagne Trail"? Does B&H actually serve wineries?

Regarding railpictures.net, I have found them to be extremely picky too. So far, only one of my photos has made it :(

Very nice picture!

What is the other locomotive in the picture?

And what was the reason railpictures.net rejected it?

Guys, I live right next to the LV ROW on Adams Rd. in Hemlock. For clarification, Mike, is the LV ROW that you live next to the North/South part of the ROW, or is it the east/west LV connector into Hemlock (or both)? As I was driving around recently, I drove along Adams Road and saw what were clear...

Scot, I understood the caption differently than you did. It said: Summary A view of Beach Avenue west of Lake Avenue.
