I can't wait to be able to look out of bigger windows while enjoying my ride along the majestic Hudson River between New York City and Albany-Rensellaer.

Looks like a lot of effort went into the design of those Bike racks. The agent may have meant the bike racks were reserved out . They agent gave no indication that she was even aware of bike racks in cafe cars, stating simply that, since there was no longer a baggage car, bicycles were not allowed ...

Re: Lake Shore Limited

I was thinking the same thing and then got a brainstorm. Imagine a fleet of self-driving RVs! You put your family onboard and eat and sleep and do whatever you want as your moving hotel drives you to the next tourist attraction. And maybe also little one-person RVs that get you to your business mee...

And also why didn't they remove the seats at the end of the car instead of towards the center? When you lose money on food service and can’t feasibly make it up through volume, removing cafe/...

Re: Coastal Starlight Train 11 stuck in Oregon since Sunday

Question about this situation. What does or did the engineer do this whole time? I know his cab is kind of roomy but did he actually spend the entire time there? I assume he can't leave or was he able to leave the engine unattended? This topic came up in discussion and nobody quite knew. Conditions...

SST:we struck a deer doing probably MAS about 79 mph Wow that deer was really moving. SS: I could have worded this one a little differently - such as: "Our train struck and killed a deer on the track when we were traveling at a good rate of speed" I only noted that when you pointed this out... :win...
