I'm on 291 (29) and the communication about the bus bridge, both before boarding and on board, has been excellent. I don't know if they're planning to continue busing while they get this resolved or if it's just to try and save the first day of operations.

You're also forgetting that Amtrak long ago swore off of 6 axle power. I'm sure some of the older folks here remember the SDP40F's, P30CH's and the E60CH's. I'm sure the MAC70's will work well for METRA especially getting trains quickly up to speed. I just don't think Amtrak will ever touch anythin...
