However it would link several large developments in Proposed in Center City , the Waterfront , and West Philly.... It would link the future Waterfront Network to the 15 Trolley... The City Philly from what i heard is very angry about this , they had banked on another East - West line.....

This project and a few others must be completed to hush those suburban commuters , if there not completed then getting funding for Urban Rail will always meet opposition... A Project could be killed off by the suburban politicians... Aside from that , I had no idea that it was costing this much , wa...

The position of the Embankment Preservation Coalition has been open to rail, but the clear desire is for a park. Re: Bergen Arches, back around 2001 or 2002, there was a study to determine transportation uses for the Bergen Arches, and one of the questions was, of course, what to do once you get ou...

To be honest , its better without the Rail. Theres alot of recent developments going up along the backside of Newport so i would to see the rest of Conrail's Riverline converted to LRT and and a line built from Hoboken Terminal to Secaucus JCT via the Bergen Arches thur there. These aren't small dev...

Why , i think its fine the way it is...it gets very low ridership compared to NLR and HBLR and it looks like it will stay like that... The stations are also spaced far apart unlike the HBLR or NLR or LRT in general....

Didn't the University want to pave over the ROW and make it a busway? The Town residents and West Windsor opposed the plan , and starting pushing a LRT / Streetcar line , which would run through the downtown from the Campus... To be honest it looks like the town residents have more power then the U...

Conductors on LRT? Where in the world do you see that? No where , although it might be good to place one on the Riverline during peak hr....but then you have the problem of conductors having to go outside the train to go into the next car to collect tickets... It simply would be more expensive to h...

Think about the recent push to BRT-ize the Princeton Branch. Sound like an attempt to evade buying more EMUs? SEPTA's allowing the Newtown Branch to be rail-trailed. Consider that they also abandoned from Elwyn to West Chester even though that was electrified. Those decisions weren't EMU-based, tho...

The Development in Stamford is far from completed , its really just started. Stamford's Downtown is loose and Suburban in nature , over the next 2 decades the city hopes to transform it into a Dense city like Downtown Brooklyn as an example. This will be done with sidewalk widenings , Infill develop...

I believe the Harrison site ,is that piece of open land just southeast of the station. As for state land , the state would make alot by letting the developer come in and TOD that site , an open parking doesn't generate much in revenue...so id think it be easier to get the state to approve. Of course...

A lot of these ideas come from Newark City Hall / RPA which factors in the Future growth in Newark and surrounding communities City Hall doesn't have the money. NJT is a statewide agency, part of a broke state from whom they'll be begging the cash; and NJ will be begging for cash in turn from an ev...

I'll post my ridership predictions , i take into account the TOD proposed around the stations , Job hubs and extensions and infill stations...I honestly think i'm right on the mark...not to high with any , might be below on some... New Haven line : 116,000 (2010) > 2030 Ridership : 180,000 New Canaa...
