Are there underground stations left on the subway that are not ultra bright illuminated and have a rather grimmy appearance for photography?
All I found out so far seems to be outdated.
Does anybody know, which lines are currently used for the R-32?
Thanks! A.
Thanks guys!
Was it then close to the room with the rotary converters?
I trust that coal was used for the boilers. How was it delivered to the boiler room? By hopper cars and chutes?

the Steam plant lines were next to the bumping block.
Is my assumption correct, that track A (east side) is a yard lead for the LL yard and that it ends on the northern end?
Does it stay on the LL for its entire length or does it follow the ramp up to UL?
Thanks, Andrew
Hi,
does anybody know of a book or website that gives information on what paint scheme was applied to what car in what year? Going back to the first subway cars?
Thanks a lot!
Andrew.
The above (guard + 3rd) is correct. There was NO wide gauge.
Why are some ends of the track bays (if you call it like that) in GCT round and others straight? Has this something to do with observation cars when they were placed against the bumper while other platforms were rather used for MU cars with rather square ends?
Thanks, A.
Thanks Coleco, that surely is interesting!
I will have a deeper look!
Indeed. Very interesting to read!
Thanks guys. The Washington Terminal one would be nice to model.
Does anybody know if there ever were ones that had Conrail written on them?
Hi guys, I found out, that in the beginning of the 1976 Silver Streak movie, the train pulls out of the eastend of Toronto Union Station. While the movie credits are still being shown, the train passes a distillery building. The tracks are appearing to go a bit uphill. The position must be here: htt...
I found some images in an old Engineering News article I had on the building of GCT (from the time period when it was under construction). The first image shows how Track 100 (of which we've been discussing) was a tail track, which looks like it was there to allow trains to use that large supplies/...
I would be very interested in that James.
Thanks!
