Houston Railroad Museum Big Texas Train Show

The Big Texas Train Show will steam into the George R. Brown convention center for its second big year on Friday and Saturday, October 8 and 9, 2011. The annual event, sponsored by and benefiting the Houston Railroad Museum, will feature more than 100,000 square feet of model train layouts, railroad-related displays from local museums, model railroad manufacturers, and private and commercial vendors offering both model train equipment and vintage railroad memorabilia. Model railroad clubs and museums from around Houston and throughout Texas are expected to participate in the Second Annual Big Texas Train Show.

Clubs, museums, and other non-commercial exhibitors are invited to participate in the Big Texas Train show free of charge. Nominal fees will be charged for retail
and individual table sales.

This is a fantastic event and many of the railroad enthusiasts who attended last year had great things to say about the event.

The Venue is the George R. Brown Convention Center.  The address is:  1001 Avenida de las Americas;  Houston, TX 77010.
