This past summer 2926 passed it's first FRA Hydro test,had schedule 26 brake stand and MU controls installed Engine and tender are coupled together again after some repairs on glitches found during the Hydro test,and 1 more FRA Hydro test,possible steam up in the spring of 2018.

2926 has been rerailed with help from Hutcher,work is in progress to rebuild the pit and the steel holding the rail in the pit space. A surprise leak in the oil bunker(Tender) has been repaired and shortly the loco and Tender will be joined together again soon. (they were split apart due to the derailment of the trailing truck)
