Santa Fe “Merger”/Take-Over of The Erie-Lackawanna

Postby XC Tower » Sun Aug 05, 2018 8:14 pm

Years ago, during the mid-1980’s, I spoke to a train crew waiting in the old yard office in Meadville, PA,who dated back to the E-L who said that there was some pretty legitamate talk of this happening back in the late 60’s or early 70’s....As with the
D.L &W and NKP, there is always more..or less...to the story...Any information on this?
Thanks in advance.

My apologies on the mistake of posting on this forum. Could this be transferred over to the D.L.&W, ERIE, and Erie-Lackawanna forum?
Thank you.
