USS Gary Works Coal

I was reading in a Pennsy book how back in the mid-60s both NYC and PRR shared some coal traffic off the L&N in Cincinnati that was destined to US Steel Gary Works. When the PRR moved the coal it was brought to Undercliff yard via a transfer from DeCoursey, and from Undercliff the PRR routed it up the Richmond Branch (the line that was later sold to N&W), and from Richmond, it continued up the Ft Wayne branch to Ridgeville IN where it went through a connection and entered the PRR main line between Columbus and Chicago via Logansport, taken to Hartsdale IN where it was interchanged with the EJ&E for delivery to Gary.

In contrast, how was the coal routed on the NYC? Was it from Cincy to Indy (did they actually drag unit trains of 60's modern 100T L&N hoppers up that hill between Lawrenceburg and Sunman?) where it then moved via Lafayette up to Sheff and from there up the Egyptian line? Or did it go up the Cincinnati Northern to Ansonia, then the Bee Line thru Muncie to Anderson, and then up the branch to Goshen to Elkhart?
