When was service to the old Rwy. Ex. Agency. at 18th & Market Sts. discontinued? This pamphlet plans for it to last after the end of Broad St. Station, but it had to be gone by the late 1950s, When Pennsylvania (J. F. K.) Blvd was built.

Great find! Thanks for posting. As to dating the NY Div industries chart, pages 4 and 5 show the balloon track to Camp Kilmer (to allow eastbound troop trains to reach Kilmer Yard without tying up the whole main line) still in service; maybe someone has etts showing when Kilmer Yard was decommissioned (along with Kilmer Tower, which is the only PRR interlocking tower I can think of that included the word TOWER in the sign). (Is that overhead bridge still in place? It was the last time I looked.) Another clue would be that at some point, I think in the late 50's, the station at Stelton was renamed Edison; I know it was still Stelton in the spring of 1954 when I passed through Camp Kilmer, but I'm sure it was Edison before 1960. I think I remember that the interlocking at Metuchen was renamed from EDISON to LINCOLN at that time, and the Edison name bestowed on the present interlocking of that name.
Also, I see that stations Deans, Adams, Menlo Park, Colonia, North Rahway, and South Elizabeth were still in service; public timetables, if available, might pin down the year.

Far as we can tell from the public timetable, Stelton became Edison in 1956. Even Menlo Park disappeared later than that

A PRR ett for the New York Region No. 2, Oct. 28, 1956, shows Stelton changed to Edison, so the change was evidently made either then or at the Spring tt change. Deans, Adams, and those others were still in ett No. 10 of Oct. 30, 1960.

North Rahway closed sometime in the 80's. I use to take pictures there all the time in high school in the late 70's
Why do we drive on parkways and park in driveways?
