Good video, but barns look so much better when they're red.

Nice videos and thanks for posting.

Are the first few cars behind the locomotives wood chip cars? If so are they loaded or empty? If not what are they? Thanks.

Yes, they're empty wood chip cars coming back from Tafisa, in Lac Megantic.

Are there any updates on CMQ 9004's repairs?

Been asking on the Facebook groups and have not gotten any information about it. I hope they are repairing 9004 but I will add it took about 3 years before 9022 was fully operational. I got to give the crew at Derby credit though. I had figure when 2001 went down with an electric problem on the Rockland Branch that it was done. Nope once it got back to Derby they had it back up and running in a couple of months.

Well good news on 9004. Matt Sawyer posted photos of it on job 1 yesterday. Think this is the first time tha CMQ has had all the barns up and run at the same time.

According to a commenter on a post in the St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railfan group on Facebook CMQ has leased the CBFX SD60M that was sent their for repairs. Can anyone else confirm?

Well can not confirm if it being leased but Cbfx 6031 was in Brownsville Junction and moved to Derby today with 3057, 9024, 9004, 9023, and 9024. Also two more CEFX units on the way on WAMA (Pan Am) today 414 and 3029.

This was the unit SLR sent off to CMQ for repair, since it had issues from the beginning of its lease. I don't think it ever turned a wheel (under its own power) on a revenue freight for them. Lease is likely done, CMQ might just be tasked with getting it going again, instead of the lessor sending it elsewhere. Who knows....

True. It’s off lease from SLR, and it was sent to CMQ for repairs. Read at a couple of forms that CMQ was looking into leasing it but heard no more. It may have just been at the junction to be tested out but CMQ may be leading it.
