Double pantograph order

Postby philipmartin » Thu Mar 16, 2017 7:23 am

That's something we aparently had on the "Coast Line" yesterday and the day before. That's something an ALP45dp can't do.

During the storm I noticed one ALP46 moving with a small arc where the lead pantograph contacted the wires, and no arc where the trailing pantograph contacted it.

In case anybody' doesn't know it, an ALP45DP only has one pantographh; but they ran them on the coast line, during the "blizzard" anyway.

Well an ALP-45 can rescue itself if it has ice issues.
