Commuter Rail Snow Plows

How many plows does MBTA have for CR? This page suggests it's four, which would make sense, 2 north & 2 south.

2740, 2742, 2744, 2746? Anyone know where the videos above were shot and/or what the south/north assignments are?

That was over at yard 14 over at BET. Those plows are primarily used northside. There's also a flanger out there too, that possibly used southside.

The two ex-B&M Russell Plow at BET are used on the northside.
The other two plows went to Cape Cod a few years ago and remain out of service. Mass
Coastal did try to use one of them during the winter from hell.

The flanger is probably on the Southside, have not seen it around BET of late.

Railroad plows are used after the storms to move back the snow where the trains plow the snow to. The main line plows work North Side and the flanger should be South.
