What I ask here directly, even with it being alluded to before, is this: With turnaround provision remaining in only a few places in the LIRR track network, would it be worthwhile for NYA to restore some of the eliminated wyes and/or turntables? Or are they flexible enough for change of direction in double ending some of their trains and running the engines around on others?
Since NY&A uses 2 units on their freight(topped and tailed in some cases),there's no need to use a wye,if a car needs to be faced a certain way to be unloaded,that car will be turned at the wye at Pond if needed. There are some Freight only runaround tracks scattered around the LIRR,where NY&A can run around their train if needed.

I'm not implying it will be for operational use for NYA/LIRR.
There will be tracks leading to it in the future, but not for active train service in the sense. Might play host to an excursion or two depending on how everything progresses and how willing the LIRR is to work with this fine museum.
