Is that GP-40 a rental or power that Keolis brought in?

Neither. MBTA has owned it for several years.

Snowplows & Jorden Sperders

Postby Pat Fahey » Mon Feb 23, 2015 7:03 pm

Hi
What ever happened to plowing snow, doesn't the (T) own any snowplows ? I recall seeing a photo one or two years ago showing (2) Russell snowplows ready to go for winter .
Now as for a Jordan spreader , this is a piece of MOW equipment , which would plow a double track mainline , why doesn't the (T) own at least one piece of this equipment . The (T) got them selves into this hole , because of cutback's , now they are paying for it .
Also how can you expect a passenger train to plow the rail line , when a PLOW should be doing the JOB .
And as for the new French conpnay running the (T) , well it looks like they don't get much snow in Paris ,,, stuff said . Pat

The T still owns those two plows and they were used this month.
