What were the names of the Pullman passenger cars that typically served on the pre-WW2 and post-WW2 versions of the Erie Limited? I am in need of this information for a modeling project.
Before creating this thread, I had begun the process of researching on my own about the Erie Limited. I was already aware of the excellent site you listed, prior to getting your message. I am hoping to get the names of the Pullman passenger cars that typically saw service on the Erie Limited.
Hi Walter, I remember meeting you at Middletown RR Day in 2012, where you demo'd your work with MSTS. I notice you have been active in quite a few MSTS projects via your posts on the forum here. Would you ever consider making Youtube videos of your completed routes so that some of us others can enjoy them? I'm sure it would be a great experience to sit back and watch. Thanks !
I recall having an enlightening conversation with you at Middletown Railroad Day 2012.
All the posts that I have made at Railroad.net are somehow related to the virtual Tristate route, which I unveiled at Middletown Railroad Day. Since 2012, the track layout on the route has grown considerably, having extended the Erie from Mill Rift, PA to Jersey City and the DL&W from Scranton, PA to Port Morris, NJ. Preparations are underway to extend the DL&W from Port Morris to Hoboken Terminal. Plus, most of the trackage that existed on the L&HR, L&NE, and the original NYS&W are in place on the route.
In answer to your question, although I currently lack the skills to create polished videos, I invite other people, with more experience creating videos, to produce videos about the Tristate route. An example of a video that a gentleman by the name of David Richtmyer produced showcasing an earlier version of Tristate is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzE2EmkQEgU. David filmed the video in the Open Rails Train Simulator, which gives users the opportunity to run content originally designed for MSTS with the added benefit of more realistic train physics and the graphic features.
If you would like to discuss the Tristate route further, you are welcome to contact me by sending a private message to me.
