PC Heritage unit!!

My life long Dream has been realized!

Now, for all you fellow PC afficinados, is it me or is the "nose decal/logo" bigger than an original PC unit?

If memory serves me only the C-636's and U33C's had an enlongated nose "Worms in Love".
And wasn't there ONE engine{I think it was a U30B} that had a Super-sized nose logo?

But seriously..
yes, it looks like the C636's and the U33C's had an elongated nose logo:

and yep, there was one U30B with the oversized nose logo, it was PC 2855:

Since there is not one single standard nose logo for all PC locomotives,
it cant be said the nose logo is "wrong" on the heritage unit..

I think it looks very good and very accurate with the number and letter fonts!

The nose decal looks accurate as well, and I guess if I "had to pick at anything",
I would maybe just lower that decal on the nose just a smidge as it looks a bit
high on the nose. Having said that, I love what NS is doing with all of these
Heritage Units. Keep it up, Norfolk Southern!!

Can anybody confirm if this is actually brunswick green or is it just straight black? I wouldn't blame the railroad for going straight black as they have thousands of gallons of it nearby and no brunswick green in inventory. Besides, only an artist or rivet counter could notice the diff.

That issue aside, I love the PC heritage unit. The PC image looks perfect in 2012, which is a tribute to the timelessness of the Lippincott work that was the PC logo and brand. That said, they also did the CP multi-mark and "CP Rail" brand, which still looks reasonably modern as well.

I guess this unit is from the world where Penn Central was a success. ;)
