Dreyfuss Hudson serial #'s

Postby nina » Mon Feb 25, 2013 10:59 pm

I am a engine or loco artist. I am currently completing a painting of the Dreyfuss Hudson J3a (2nd set 1938) number 5450. I know she was ALCO built and assume built in Schenectady (not sure). Could you please provide direction to a website which will provide the ALCO serial number for 5450 and if possible the date on the builders plate?

From the New York Central System Historical Society steam locomotive book Vol. 1.
The Alco-S no. is 68884 and the date is April 1938.
