Hiking?Montain Biking the Laccawanna Cutoff?

I plan on taking the Steamtown Train to Tobbyhanna and Hiking/Biking to Andover...What obstacles will I come across? What is the Surface like? If it is large crushed gravel it will be impossible to ride.

It would be a great ride; however you are correct - the gravel would be brutal! Not to mention the more than occasional 13 year old ATV rider who will take pride in being able to kick up even more gravel & dust in your face as he passes by.

Paulinskill Valley Trail to the Sussex Branch is a a much better alternative.
