Former DL&W Railroad station needs your help by voting!

I am a member of the Nicholson Heritage Association and we applied for a Pepsi Refresh Project grant to renovate and restore the former Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad station in Nicholson, PA into a community center. All we need are VOTES!

I wanted to make you aware of our initiative, ask you to vote, and see if you have any suggestions in helping us get the word out (besides local media and DL&W specific discussion groups). Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you!

How Can You Vote?
Please vote for the project at http://www.refresheverything.com/revitalizeruraltown. You can vote for up to ten projects once each day throughout the month of January. You can also vote by texting 105508 to Pepsi at 73774. The Nicholson Heritage Association needs your daily votes, one each by visiting the Web site and sending a text, to ensure that this project to restore this 1849 railroad station gets funded and not left behind. Remember: VOTE daily, spread the word by telling your family and friends, post on your Facebook status, or even send a Tweet!

The Nicholson Heritage Association wants to renovate and restore the more than 160 year old historic railroad station into an innovative community center to encourage revitalization of the local economy. We believe this community center will have a positive impact on the small town of Nicholson and the surrounding region by providing a place for residents to gather, as well as a local/regional museum/visitors center.

About The Nicholson Heritage Association
The Nicholson Heritage Association was established in 1989 as a non-profit organization in anticipation of the 75th anniversary of the Nicholson Bridge, also known as the Tunkhannock Viaduct. The Nicholson Heritage Association is dedicated to the historical preservation of Nicholson, Pennsylvania, a small rural town nestled in Wyoming County and the Endless Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
