Former 1901 DL&W swing bridge over the upper Hackensack

Postby walterconklin » Tue Oct 07, 2014 6:28 pm

Hello,

Does anyone have any photos of the 1901 DL&W swing bridge that use to exist over the upper Hackensack River? The reason why I raise this question is because I am in need of photos and ideally the basic dimensions of the bridge for a modeling project. I know that in 1958 the DL&W replaced the bridge with a single span bridge that is currently in use by NJ Transit.

Thank you in advance of your help.

Sincerely,
Walter Conklin

Volume I, 20th Century, of the Taber books has multiple pictures on pages 22 and 23.
