Does anyone remember the name of the big tie plant near Avoca?

yea ker mcgee is the name of the old tie plant in avoca. currently i think the EPA or one of the federal agencies are investigating it because chemicals supposidly leaked into the ground.

Thanks for the info.

I took a look at the Kerr-McGee Corp. site and see that in their 2003 annual report they mention Avoca as one of the locations from which the company faces lawsuits for the "release of creosote and other substances used in the wood-treatment process."
