R.O.W. Joining Champlain Sub in Chazy

Postby Engineer Spike » Thu Jan 23, 2014 6:47 am

I have noticed a line coming into the main at about MP182.5, from the east side. This location is north of the Northway overpass, but before the line curves to the left by the depot. What was this? I imagine it was some industry track.

It terminates near a building north of a former quarry east of US 9 just north of Sheldon Lane. It served both sides of the building, about 400' long The building has been torn down, but the foundations remain visible on aerial photos. It also had a spur to a building on the east side of US9 south of Duprey Road.

This Google Street View location shows the ROW crossing US 9: https://www.google.com/maps/preview/@44 ... mMcTkQ!2e0

Brookside Lane is built on the right-of-way.
