Hi-railing the MEC through Brownfield?

Postby cogger » Wed Nov 11, 2009 9:35 am

Just wondering who drives on the MEC tracks through Brownfield/Hiram area? Dark colored high rail truck went through yesterday afternoon. The tracks are traveled frequently. My camp is on a dirt road across the tracks and the gravel is often disturbed where the flanges cut through.

Yup, Nate and crew are out there quite a bit making notes of any issues CVRTC or the snowmobile clubs can take care of. They also do it more frequently since they had the rail theft in West Baldwin this spring.

Nate as in Nate Moulton, ME DOT's Rail Planning Manager? He's out high-railing the Mountain on a regular basis?

Nate goes out every once in a while. Since Kim has moved to another dept it seems that he is being more involved in projects.
