701 has bad roller bearings, the married pair is fine.

The roller bearings aren't bad, they're the wrong type. This was known before it was shipped. The shop crew should have no problems doing the change out since the truck is nearly identical to the SL-IV design.

801 was being taken off the low-boy in Roberts Yard this morning at 8:25 or so.

Were all three SLVs shipped at the same time yesterday? For some reason I got the impression they only shipped 701 yesterday.

They're doing one a day. 701 yesterday, 801 today, 802 tomorrow.

I watched the SL-V's being removed from the trailer and set on it's wheels yesterday and this morning. One half of a married pair is lifted off a huge trailer. Here are a few pictures of the move.

This is very exciting to see these pictures. Are the rest of the shells going to be trucked to Rotem or can they load those on flat cars? It seems like it'd be easier if they just took the shells over on flat cars, that way the high lift cranes at the port can just load them right from the ship and the shop cranes can move them around in the factory. No need to keep renting trucks and cranes then.

Interior looks nice. I'm liking the huge windows.

Also, very nice shot with the II and V in the shop. Wonder how long until someone catches the "money shot" - II, III, IV, and V in the same photo? :-D
