Septa radio frequency for the 15 route

Postby train2 » Sun Jan 01, 2017 1:52 pm

Group,

What is the radio channel used on the route 15 trolleys? I don't know if it is one channel for all the lines or if they are separated by routes? I suspect it is not an AAR channel. My guess is it could even be trunked or something in the public services bands. Anyone listed? Is there much of interest to be heard on that channel/s?

My interest lies when out shooting the line. I once witnessed a auto accident, a T bone collision that happened on the trolley tracks. Trolley pulls up stops as a major EMS response blocks both tracks, little while later a bus arrives and takes the passengers away. Had I not been in visual range of the accident I might have been standing around for a bit wondering what happened and why no cars were coming along. Would info like what I described be heard on the appropriate channel?
