Poll-favorite loco model

I better not see ANY GP40MC votes

Have to combine the F40PHM-2c and the F40PH-2C as it will only let me run 3 options..
Hoping for a rebirth of the Screamer fleet.

It would have been a bit more simple if you had just F40.

Yes screamer or rebuilt still a good Ol F40!!! I can't wait to see how many people vote for the geeps. Now I will say if I was an MBCR engineer then I would definately have to go with the F40 rebuilds.

I kept the F40's seperate as they are so different. The F40PH-2C's and F40PHM-2C's are essentially the same, but one is built by MK and one by EMD. THe F40PH's however are a different locomotive, and that's why i put them seperate.
Hoping for a rebirth of the Screamer fleet.

I voted for the F40PH2C, the newer version, those are fairly new built from 1986-93.

My favorite is the 'stretch' F40, hands down. I've never been a fan of the traditional F40PH 'screamers' and their constant-speed engines - give me an F40PH-2C/2M gliding in to a smooth, quiet station stop any day.

My first three choices of "favorite locomotive" aren't even up there (U18B, GP38-2, and AEM7 :-D ), but of the choices offered, I gotta go with the stretch F40s.

I see I'm not alone in my preference for the GP40s. Not that I think they're any kind of aesthetic paragon, but the F40s are just plain butt-fugly.

IMHO, of course. :-)
