"Green Line C branch experiencing severe delays due to track problem buses will run from Reservior to Newton Highlands."

1. I'm sure they mean D line, not C line
2. They spelled Reservoir wrong.

Does anybody know what is going on with the Riverside line at Reservoir inbound? It seems for the past couple months or so inbound trains are always getting the "hold" sign and speeds are very slow from Reservoir to Beaconsfield.

Just adding this to the thread,

"Green Line suspended in both directions between Park Street and Haymarket due to a power problem. Trains will not operate between Park Street and Haymarket.

Green Line service is currently suspended between Park Street and Haymarket in both directions due to a power problem.

Inbound (eastbound) trains will terminate at Park St. and outbound (westbound) trains will terminate at Haymarket.

For customers desiring westbound Green Line service beyond Haymarket, transfer to Forest Hills-bound Orange Line service at either North Station or Haymarket. Exit at Downtown Crossing and use the Winter Street Concourse to Park St. for access to the Green Line.

For customers desiring eastbound Green Line service beyond Park St., use the Winter Street Concourse at Park St. to Downtown Crossing and board Oak Grove-bound Orange Line service to Haymarket and North Station for access to the Green Line.

Eastbound Green Line customers desiring elevator access should exit the Green Line at Park St. using the right-side doors. Upon exiting, turn left, proceed straight ahead, and travel down the slight ramp, through the small corridor to Elevator #808 located on the left, beyond the stairs. Take Elevator #808 down to the Red Line center platform. Board the Red Line Ashmont-/Braintree-bound train (left side of center platform) one stop to Downtown Crossing. Upon exiting the Red Line at Downtown Crossing, take Elevator #870 located toward the front of the train up to the concourse. Upon exiting the elevator, proceed approx. 10 feet into the open corridor and turn left toward the fare gates. Exit the fare gates and proceed straight to the Orange Line Oak Grove-bound platform. Please seek a Customer Service Agent or other staff member for assistance. Alternatively, press the callbox button. Board Oak Grove-bound Orange Line service to Haymarket and North Station for access to the Green Line.

For Blue Line passengers transferring to eastbound (Lechmere-bound) Green Line service, transfer to Oak Grove-bound Orange Line service at State. Exit the Orange Line at Haymarket or North Station for Lechmere-bound Green Line service.

For Blue Line passengers transferring to westbound Green Line service, transfer to Forest Hills-bound Orange Line service at State. Exit the Orange Line at Downtown Crossing and utilize the Winter Street Concourse to Park Street for westbound Green Line connections. Alternatively, upon exiting the Orange Line at Downtown Crossing, transfer to Alewife-bound Red Line service to Park Street to make westbound Green Line connections.

Affected stops:
Haymarket
Park St."

I just saw 3683 heading outbound at Chestnut Hill Ave with smoke coming from the rear of the A end just above the center truck. An inspector in a white SUV was escorting the train to Boston College. No one was on board except the operators.

This was not a good work week for the Blue Line.

Every day from Tuesday to Friday there were delays during the 1st part of the morning rush hour.

Tuesday and Thursday there were signal issues, Wednesday was a smoke condition in the tunnel, and Friday turned out to be a derailment in the Bowdin loop.

Not good, and the next large apartment building along the Harbor opens in August, meaning Maverick will get even busier.

C'mon Ken, you never had a bad week where things just consistently go wrong?

Granted, it's unusual for the BL to have some type of problem for those # of consecutive days, but don't spin it like the line is crumbling before our eyes. And Mavericks potential increase in ridership has no bearing on if/when a derailment occurs or if a mechanical component craps out.

I wish people would just report the facts, and not provide an undertone of imminent gloom & doom that'll subsequently follow.

This isn't really a delay but I didn't know where else to post this...

I was riding out to Coolidge Corner today and between Park Street and Boylston and noticed a loud noise coming from somewhere in the tunnel. I saw a 2 car train (3892-3641) in the siding near Boylston. The noise seemed to be coming from 3892. I'm not exactly sure how to describe the noise but it sounded like an overhauled type 7 but louder. I also noticed that 3641s lights were off. 3892s were on. Does anyone know what this noise could have been?

Boston College closed due to track maintenance with B branch service terminating/originating at South Street Station.
For service westbound to Boston College, please exit at South Street and see station personnel to be directed to Boston College.

For service eastbound from Boston College, please see station personnel to be directed to South Street in order to board the B branch.

This is certainly an alert I've never seen before...

Ha! Are they using the BC Shuttle buses to get people back and forth? ;-)
