They were handing out fake tickets on Huntington Ave to make people aware of Streetcar laws.

Wow...that's great. About time the T did something about enforcing the traffic laws that impact its operation. Now, if they could just

a) Issue some real tickets...

b) Ticket people who obstruct bus stops, etc...

But who are we kidding...
Wondering if I'll see the Haverhill double-tracking finished before I retire...

Being overly hopeful here, but could this be a precursor to a public education campaign for possible arborway restoration?

With the pending lawsuit over the big dig transit improvements, are they maybe realizing that they can't weasel out of it like they've been trying to?

Probably not, right?

I'll admit to ignorance. Before reading that article, I didn't know it was illegal to pass a stopped trolley. Not that I'm trying to draw any parallels (ok, so I am), but if the key to making people obey the law is to enforce it, wouldn't enforcing parking restrictions, etc. on Centre Street avoid many of the problems people were worried about for the Aborway Restoration?
