Commuter Rail Radio Frequencies

Postby CRail » Tue Nov 09, 2004 1:28 pm

I tried this on the *radio forum but theres obviously not much traffic there because over 2 days i've got nothing.

CRail wrote:Looking to get the commuter rail north side to talk on my scanner, i programed the "springfield terminal" as labeled in the Police Call frequency database book.

This is what i've got.

160.620 - ROAD
161.160 - ROAD Dispatch to Train
161.520 - ROAD Train to Dispatch

Judging by the fact that they use CSX's road channel (160.800) on the Framingham / Worcester Line, i assume they use guilfords freq's on the north side.

Are There any others? Aside from:

160.800 CSX/AMTK ROAD CH 1
160.590 COMMUTER RAIL NORTH OF BOSTON CH 1
160.320 COMMUTER RAIL NORTH OF BOSTON CH 2
160.620 (see above)
161.160 (see above)
161.520 (see above)

*It has since been removed due to no responce

That is used for all South-Side CR lines except for the Framingham, which uses CSXT's road channel west of Cove Interlocking, and the Old Colony lines and the Dorchester Branch, which use the Old Colony channel (92-92) but I forget the frequency for the OC.
