Some people just don't understand.

Just to bring this thread back to the forefront-1030 is being prepped to go to Boise.

From a NERail Pic, 1035 has recovered from her HEP fire and is back in service on the Worcester.

Any word on 1009 and 1016? It looks like 1017 is supposed to be in service, but I can't find her anywhere...not even on my last trip to North Station!

The 1017 is still inside BET on one of the back tracks, I would say it is either going to have or has had traction motor work done to it. 1016 and the 1009 also inside BET in the diesel house....

You mean this one? :-D (It's mine), and look who's next to it! 1117! (The geep with multiple problems :P ) 1117 has been on the south side for about a month now.

****UPDATE****

If this is any guess, looks to be 1006 getting work done and maybe prepped for the paint booth!

Note behind the engine as well, looks to be MBB Coach # 515 which NE Transit shows at Waterville or overhead blower motor fire repairs

The 1009 was available as a spare engine this weekend along
with the 1118, 1127 & 1072.

The dead line out back consists of the 1016,1116 & 1132 plus the 902.

Speaking of screamers, the 1001 is running around on the Saturday Polar Express with
an 8 car set. Went out last night on No.185. Due back into Boston Monday AM on 158.
The 1001 is making five (5) round trips between Newburyport and Beverly.

Cool. Where is 1017? It looks like she is not in the dead line...and what about all the other geeps Hutch mentioned earlier in the dead line?

On a side note, I saw 1135 today (the culprit on Thursday's 410). It was on train 1408, and the turbo whine was surprisingly loud...guess they must not have done much work on it! (Other than the shiny new K5LA, it looked the same...)

Isn't it kind of ironic that 1116 and 1132 are, again, where they were for a long time a few years ago?

The rest of them must be inside BET being worked on...I didn't take a look at the
west end, although the 1030 was out there with a few 1100's.

The 1119 was used briefly on the Readville Switcher earlier this week while
the 904 went in for service. Understand its a spare unit for the southside.

Haha very true...1119 will give up it's turbo, main generator, traction motors and/or HEP generator sooner or later, more likely if I ride behind it on the Fitchburg line lol ;) but I'll keep my fingers crossed for now...

1119 was in south Sation tied on to a 700 and a 200 on trak 2 thursday night... looked like the 3 man crew came in to get work orders from the office...

The 1030 is still at BET, the FRA has not approved it for movement dead in tow (boxcared). Two specific items bothered them, (1) they wanted better clearance on the nose grabirons, and (2) they wanted additional sheet metal added below the coupler pocket - no large open space. The modifications have been made and now she awaits another FRA inspection and it is rumored that money still needs to change hands before it can be shipped. So, it remains, just another thing in the way at an already cramped yard.
