Yes, i saw this on the news last night. They identified the train as being on the Worcester-Fitchburg line. Why can't they get it right???
Hoping for a rebirth of the Screamer fleet.

No, they can't seem to "get it right, can they?". The media is totally out to lunch on so many topics, commuter rail and railroads in general to name just two topics. I know that traditionally there has been a lot of problems with homeless people between Yawkee and the east end of Beacon Park Yard. I remember seeing a couple of folks sleeping under the high level platform at Yawkey and others sleeping under the turnpike between the Grand Junction Branch and the main line. It is a pitful sight.

Yawkey Death

Postby highgreen1 » Mon Aug 09, 2004 11:21 am

Several months ago I came across a black gentleman in his late 30's totally drunk riding a bicycle on Harvard St. near Coolidge Corner, Brookline. He was nearly hit by passing cars as he slowly weaved in and out of traffic. The EMT's finally took him away. Although I have not seen a description of the poor soul who was killed, it would not have surprised me if it was the same guy.
