awesome, now tell them to give us our 1116 and 1119 back, or to "hurry up with the repairs!" or maybe to tell us at least where they are...

Can the MBTA afford to operate on regular schedule with anymore locomotives out for repairs?

A look @ Dave's photos on nerail tells me that 1118 has "finally" died and is at BET awaiting repairs...

MX:

No movement on the 1128 & 1131 OR the 1116 & 1119 for
that matter!

It has been ONE YEAR since the 1116 & 1119 went to AMP
for the much (?) balleyhooed road switcher mods!

Oh man the sooner we get new locos (and coaches) the better, for all we know 1116 1119 1128 and 1131 are being sold by AMP and broken up for scrap!

BTW What was wrong with the 1128?I saw it shortly b4 going off to rehab and it sounded fine not bad like our friend 1131...

My understanding was that the contract was originally for pairs of units to go at forty day intervals. So in a year only two units have been completed and returned? Surely that has got to be an issue at some levels in the organization.

MX:

That's right - two out and back (1118/1132), two still there (1128/1131) and two missing (1116/1119) which was
originally seperate from the top-deck program.

I see the 1129 has been set aside for AMP.

Nothing new on the trace tonight regarding the 112/1131.

Usually when you plan a rebuilding program you try to get it finished before the units get to the point where they are going to be scrapped. Could it be that there is something else going on here?

There's only supposed to be two locos there at once. There's three or four out there now, I think. Who knows why the T keeps sending locos out there when they aren't getting any back (and in the middle of a power crunch, to boot)?
