South Station construction

Postby bierhere » Thu Jul 29, 2004 12:24 pm

Recently, the T blocked off more entrances/exits to the Cambridge side platform of the Red line. This has made it almost impossible to access the platform since their is now a single stairway to enter the platform and only two starways to exit. Both entrances/exits are on one far side of the platform. The other side of the platform, all access is closed off.

Does the T have to get approval for this construction from anyone, like the city of Boston?

Anyone else considered about the ability to evacuated saftely and quickly should a fire or some other thing happen.
