The are some VERY interesting consists out there due to the cold weather! Two F40PH's lead one train out of North Station at about 1:20PM. And at about 12:30PM I saw a train coming towards North Station over the Mystic River on the New/Rock Line with a F40PH on the north end and a GP40MC "cab" on the south end!

As of today the 1007 is being used for work service. It was coupled to the Flanger in the front yard at BET this afternoon.

The 1017 was added to the 1007 string Thursday. Came out on #467(my train) and operated together until Saturday when the 1007 was cut. I again got the 1017 for it's first trip solo in almost two years(?) on #1309. Saturday I had the 1017 all night and it ran great.

Just saw a train inbound to Porter Square a few minutes back, with engine 3249 pushing along with 1003. I don't recall seeing that particular locomotive go by on the Fitchburg Line normally? The timing was somewhat earlier than the #424, and in fact that one followed not long after (with engine 1118 rattling the rafters).

[Update: Found this explanation over on the delays thread, "The 1003 set in being rescued right now in Fitchburg with a switcher."]

1017 lives! I was starting to doubt she would see the road again!
Hoping for a rebirth of the Screamer fleet.

1074 is testing out its new prime mover paired with the 1001, so far so good!
