More early Fitchburg troubles -- IB -- on 01-30-2014.
D-3 told FI-2 ~0615 account undisclosed problems and a delay with 402, 404 would be sent out right away, and this would delay FI-2 crossing the road.

The sheer number of cancellations both AM and PM Thursday was staggering. I only get alerts for the northside, but I lost track both commutes. Monumental.

Thank God today's going better, but next week will be fun with possibly more sub-zero temps.
Wondering if I'll see the Haverhill double-tracking finished before I retire...

For Lowell + Providence lines combined, it was a total of 86 T-Alerts on 29-Jan-15.

And I think Fitchburg and the Eastern both handily outdid Lowell.

Doesnt exactly help that the HSPs from 2014 up (not including suspects 2000, 2003, 2011 among others in the batch below) tripped over themselves coming out of the plant

The set that was 400 just went inbound thru Concord by itself. 1127 was the power.
Hoping for a rebirth of the Screamer fleet.

841/842 cancelled this morning, 801 803 ran with some heavy delays...don't know how the other lines fared, but I could barely hear the Old Colony TD talking to 038, sounded like they were having troubles

More evening cancellations:
Lowell: 327/330
Fitchburg: 457/458
Worcester: 583
Franklin: 737/738
Fairmount: 767/768, 773
Providence: 919/920

524 is running close to an hour late...525 pulled up to the Muddy River bridge and held for a few minutes around 16:45 (already 10-15 late); if I had to guess I'd say CP-3 was being troublesome.

I briefly checked the service alerts this morning - just about everything was delayed in some way. I think Providence was "winning" by total number of alerts and 357/358 was cancelled.

The set and crew should just bunk down at Haverhill and bring in 200 :)

And this morning the first three trains on the Lowell line were cancelled (302, 304, 352), and 306 is running 45 minutes late.

I know that hours-of-service laws impacted at least one of the above; I'm wondering if there was a lack of crews from the severe delays last evening that caused engineers and conductors to time out.

For the first time ever, the T made this alert:

All Commuter Rail and Subway service are currently experiencing severe delays on all lines. Passengers are encouraged to seek alternate transportation and allow additional travel time.

Oh, and as of 12:15, Beverly Draw went out:

MBTA Commuter Rail ‏@MBTA_CR 5m5 minutes ago

(1/2) Shuttle buses replacing Newburyport/Rockport Line between Salem and Beverly due to Beverly Draw being broken

(2/2) Busses have been dispatched to Beverly and Salem but there will be significant delays
