What would be the rough weekday mileage of a typical commuter train in a given day?

It all depends on the set and what it is scheduled to do in its given day. Everyday provides something different for our trains, but if everything runs correctly and smoothly, the lineup has the potential to stay the same for days. Some train sets go out and do 3 trips before getting serviced, vs some sets, like P508-P523's equipment, the 8 car super set, only does its one trip inbound in the morning, spends the day in the yard, then the trip home at night. Again, each set does something different. These trains rack up a lot of miles in one day, and it's crazy to think, some of this equipment has been doing this for 25+ years
