Train Spotting on the Grand Junction

Postby Diverging Route » Sat Mar 05, 2005 9:41 am

Last evening I happened to be in Cambridge at the Broadway crossing around 10:00pm, and saw an MBTA move over the Grand Junction. I couldn't see a few of the car numbers, but it was headed towards BET (i.e. a transfer from the South Side). The 902 was in the lead, pulling a bi-level, MBB control coach, and two 1000-series engines.

That was the Readville Switcher. It's transfers cars and engines from the
Southside to BET and back. Also runs Sunday in daylight.
