Commuter Rail Coaches out of service

Postby Buzz » Sat Jan 22, 2005 8:24 pm

Word is that there are over fifty coaches out of service at BET waiting to get fixed. Get ready for a big car crunch and short trains again.

From afar, it appears that there are a fair number of coaches OOS at the BET.
That said, it does NOT look like as many as during this past summer's trouble when there were major equipment problems.

Possibly true, but I've seen a couple of four-car trainsets on the Newburyport/Rockport runs, including one this morning, where the nom is supposed to be six cars. Also, there are a few of the new double-deckers at BET as well, so that could skew the count somewhat .

Well Sully gets a 6 car for his 1:20 trip, he comes in with a 5 car. Right now we tie up four 5 car sets in Fitchburg at night... I am not aware of any 4 car trains right now on the north side, but we only have three six car sets!!!

Welcome back John, how was Florida???

It's become that bad?? Sully used to hold one trainset all day. Hopefully this will ease up when the 900's go into service. BTW, are there any pics of the 900's anywhere???
