Evergreen Branch info request

Postby scopelliti » Mon Nov 05, 2018 12:37 pm

Saturday at the Syracuse train show I ran into Steve Funaro (of Funaro & Camerlengo). He mentioned plans for new kits MP41 and a corrected MP75 (his previous kit had two copies of the same side so the windows did not line up across the car).

He also mentioned he is working on a lengthy article about the Evergreen Branch for The Keystone (I think that was the publication). He is having some trouble finding information about the Evergreen Branch. He's already checked out TrainsAreFun and Art Huneke's site, but needs more information

So thought I would put the request here for further information... contact info is on the website (linked above).

Thanks!

Most up to date view of what's left of the ROW, plus a bunch of other factoids not previously documented:

Part one of that series outlines the G&ER RR, the much lesser known RR that originally built the line as a narrow gauge route.

I'm pretty sure Conrail worked it up until it closed, using SW1500s

I wasn't aware that the LIRR sold the Bay Ridge Branch, and bought it back less than 20 years later.
